I read this review and ordered the book. I tied all 10 flies without a hastle. Too many fly patterns are intimidating to the novice. This is a great book for the beginner!

Nice pix Hans. I love the markings on that first Sea Trout, so unusual, never seen anything quite like it.

On my immediate wish list is Arctic Char and Wild Rainbows then when I have enough money, amago and yamame.

Salt - Magnus
Fresh - Daddylonglegs and goldhead GRHE

I almost always get fish on these flies, regardless of where I fish.

Nice story,
I would not like to mention the casts that I made to catch my third seatrout.
The first two came after my second day at Langeland.
The next after two years.

I am looking for the Tiger Fish where the cells in the fishes eye heals it self. Also being used to
try on Diabetes patients for there eyes.

Just like in brewing beer, leader tyers should stand by the motto of "relax, take it easy, have a beer!" The leader formulas are to be used as guidelines in building your own. Don't worry if the formula suggests one diameter or two that you don't have. Just substitute with the next closest diameter material and you should see no dramatic effects on the leader performance.

Chris,

I had the same issue when I looked. I now fixed a few character set glitches, and it seems to work in the store AND the subscription section.

Let me know whether it's OK in your end too,

Martin

We tried also two times... First time we did some good, but my body with camera is not flyfisher or fisherman, so he knew how, but he didnt know what... Second time was much more better, but it wants red line(in our case)...I choose few good...

For saltwater fishing I would choose orange streamer made from polar fox, orange spectra dubbing and orange cock.

For stillwater fishing montana lure is my first choice.

For river fishing it should be small CDC sedge tied on hook # 14 or 16.

Kasper,

If I had one only for all the fishing I'm likely to bump into it would be a gold beaded hare's ear nymph. That will catch almost anything that swims.

For stream fishing I would choose a similar nymph or a CDC&Elk dry fly.

For saltwater I would choose something like a Grey Frede. That would catch everything from trout to bonefish.

Martin,

Thanks for the response. I have no problem when looking at the entry for glbalflyfisher in the iTunes store. The problem that I am experiencing is in my subscribed-to podcasts in the podcasts section of my iTunes library. It cannot seem to update there anymore. I have removed it and resubscribed to it, but the problem persists. I greatly enjoy this podcast!
Thanks,
Chris.

With this fly I go fishing in León, Spain with very good results, It is a great fly, Alvaro

Chris and others,

We're having some server problems right now... the may effect the feeds and when iTunes reads a faulty feed it seems like it takes some time before it reestablishes the correct feed. I see it fine in iTunes right now and can download and listen to the podcasts.

If this problem persists, please let me know.

Martin

Harold, in case of any problem, just contact me and I will discuss it with the guys from Hends. Regards. Lukas

Thanks, Pike. I checked the site and saw the book. I couldn't understand how to purchase from the site, so I e-mailed the shop to get information. Hopefully, I'll be buying a copy shortly.

The book really looks interesting. I like the pictures and format.

Thanks for letting me know about this!

Hello, I will be in Tuscany at the end of March. I am wondering if there are any flyfishing opportunities at that time of the year. I will not be to far from Arrezzo.

Why is it that the podcast no longer seems to work via subscription in iTunes? I just get an exclamation point by the podcast and it can no longer find the episodes.

Hey Kasper,

Paul and me were out for seatrouts last weekend and Paul had great success with you pink piggy.
He gave one to me out of his stockpile but it couldn't get me a fish this time, so I had to return to my
terror fly.

Hope we hear from each other soon.

Kai

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
