Beautiful subject matter, focus, exposure, etc. The composition would have been perfect if the tail and the reel seat were included (and not cropped out), thus creating a nice frame of grass around the center of interest. I would prefer to see the fish wet myself as well; but what a gorgeous fish!

Hei Frank,

Yes its exactly at Lyngmoenhølen in Zone 3 :)
Its a picture with three stones and a few trees... I am speechless, how could you know that? 8)

I am fishing always between [b:920edc5ff5]H6[/b:920edc5ff5] (Lyngmoenhølen) and [b:920edc5ff5]H7[/b:920edc5ff5] (Fjermedalshølen) in Bjerkreim.

Wiggy and Fly-Only, of course that will be wonderful we can meet and arrange a trip together

Rain-X?
Look at the bottle - black with yellow printing. This is Rain-X demister, not Rain-X outside windscreen treatment. A different animal!

Hi, Paul,

The rod looks very nice. Is the colour golden plum from CTS? By the way, the grip reminds me on a rod I´ve been building last year. One of my favorite allrounders for the riverfishing, an Sage SLT 690-4. But that´s something total different to the AffinityOne.

T.L. Frank

Hey Frank,

Here is a pic (hopefully) of my last build its a CTS Affinity one 906-4, it is by far the nicest rod that I have ever cast, and a real joy to fish. Its the rod that I use for seatrout fishing in Denmark.

im a 1st timer what line goes on the rod 1st the green rubber 1 or the rope one

Catching sea trout on a cold winter's day when the sun warms the water and there's not a cloud in the sky is just magical. Sea trout fishing is a real joy......

Hi guys. We certainly live not too far from each other, and a meet could certainly be on the cards. Fly-only, I've fished flekkefjord with a collegue that is from and lives in flekkefjordfished. It was sea trout fishing in grisefjorden and up along the canals and into the last lake, that's as far as my flekkefjord fishing goes. A lovely area with some nice fish, not to mention lots of bass.

I'm not sure if this is allowed but do you guys go on www.fiskersiden.no/forum I had a recent trip in the mountains and have written a rapport http://www.fiskersiden.no/forum/index.php?showtopic=38535

My Rain-x bottle has a warning on the back that says, "Do not use on plastics."
This contradicts what Steve Schweitzer says about using this product for dressing fly lines and that it is safe. Are there different types of Rain-x with different chemical make-ups? Mine is a clear liquid of water-like consistency.

Congrats m8, now the next one. I saw one jumping while fishing for seabass and my hart started pumping like grazy and so did my casting arm :) But unfortunatly it wouldn't take my fly.

Hey, Feridun,

is the second picture taken at Lyngmoenhølen? I´ve been fishing there a couple of times this year, esp. the Vinningland-Section as well as Fjermedal, Gjedlakleiva and Nedre Gjedremshølen. Unfortunately the waterleves have been like a stock price the last weeks from total down about 15 q to over 100 and down again. But I like the river, it´s a great nature there.

T.L. Frank

PS: Wiggy and Feridun, it seems that we are neighbours. Hope we find a possibility to meet eachother soon!

Hey, Paul,

Well, until now I just heared good things about the Dan Craft blanks, escpecially about that series. I would be pleased to try that stick, but I guess, I have to be patient till then.

On the other hand I ordered a CTS AffinityOne-blank for a friend a couple of weeks ago.
And I have to say that that blank has an superb strong, fast but sensitive progressive action. I guess I fell for them and it would be ok for me if CTS redefines AffinityOne in S.E.X.Y.
Anyway, I will build up a two-hander from CTS during the winter and looking forward to that experiment.

T.L., Frank

Wiggy: Trout fishing in the mountains ! Way to go 8)

Tight Lines
Feridun

Yahoo! I caught my first sea trout. First my wife caught one and then 15 minutes later I did. Although the fish was under 40 cm I'm very glad anyway. All thanks for your help.

Hi Frank,

I never did get the RX7+, I ended up getting a Dan Craft FT 905-4 and I can say that it is a real canon, I like to fish it with a 6wt line, and although it is rated as one of the fastest blanks on the market it has a very soft tip section and is a lot of fun to fish with.

Folks, I´m sad ´n sorry to have been missing that thing this year. Ole told me all about the very familiar and funny get-to-gether. And I´ll do all I can to hook in next year.

Regards and tight lines,

Frank

This pattern in black, is good too for large freshwater bass (largemouth), but don't forget large rubber legs (Madam X style) when tying the strips. A large hook i.e salt bait hook in 2/0 or 3/0 gives better hooking (you need to use a soft tubing connection as in the older model).

The GFF money box

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
