I am trying to make my cork handles smaller to fit my hand. T&T wants 25 bucks a pop to do this. Do I need a lathe? Or can I do it by hand as the handle shape is already there, I just need it smaller??
Thanks

Good evening,
Would you please be so nice and tell us the secret which reel it is?

Good evening, Feridun,
Well, as far as I know I would say that both reel-types are consequent developed and unique concepts. I know that a lot of people went crazy about the Dom-Abs in Germany. In fact I like the straight design, but I think they are not that solid they should be. But an real alternative? Until now, no. I donôt know if you like the design of the Galvan Torque which is different but also unique. The discontinued Guideline Watergrip looks a little like that.
And the only alternative for the backwinder is to have one and then find someone like Megoff who is able to make a 1:1 counterpart.

Fantstic article and web site. I teach rod building classes here, and with permission, will use your article on signing a rod. My only question is what to you use when writing. I've tried some white paint from a model shop, and that wasn't the best. Suggestions?

What a lovely Nembwe
Finally a website that finally gives step by step instructions for fly tying with good quality close-up pics.
I hope to tie Kai's Green Terror and try it salmon fishing.

Hi! I am new to this website and west coast fly fishing. I have fly fished before for trout only in Colorado & New Mexico. I just got my own fly fishing rig and I'm 200 steps from the back bay in Newport Beach, CA. I see mullet fish jump out of the water all evening long after work. I have been down the last two evenings with no fish. these fish are way too close to my home not to catch. I haven't fished any topwater flies at this point. any suggestions? thanks!

Dear sir
I have always had a problem when tying flies as you never seem to have everything at hand when you need it,I have just made a desk and I am amazed how tidy you can keep everything
Thank you for posting you brilliant idea
Ruan,
[quote:e8d2c2d0f5="waterdog"]or can I leave the 8wt at home?
net vs boga grip .....[/quote:e8d2c2d0f5]
I wouldn't bother with an 8-weight. 5-6 is fine, 7 is heavy in my eyes, 8 is overkill if you ask me.
Net or Boca...? Neither! If you want to release the fish, use your hands, if you want to keep fish, beach it. I have never seen a Boca grip used for sea trout, so if you want something, choose a net.
CU Friday!

Hi Everyone....
I am just about ready to start packing.. but since this would be my first trip "up north" i still have some questions.... I plan on taking along a couple of 5wt rods .... do I also need something heavier...or can I leave the 8wt at home?
net vs boga grip .....I personally think a boga grip does less damage to fish than a net.. but my experience is limited to Pike,Pikeperch, Bass and Tigers.... is a Boga OK for Seatrout ?
see you on Friday !

Vanuz,
No worries here mate, I still have your number, just in case we run into trouble. You do have some experience in rescuing stranded Lithuanians, I know.

Can linen/towels be rented at the hostel?
[/quote:b0f160de28]
Yes, I'm positive that's the case. It's 60 DKK for linen and I guess towels must be available too.
